This book is a collection of WRI personnel’s writings that highlight the various poverty-led problems faced by women. It attempts to show in detail images of the poverty situation faced by women. This book shows the fact that the problem of gender-based poverty remains unresolved despite the issuance of legal bases to promote gender equality in Indonesia.
We hope that through this book, Women Research Institute contributes to everyones increasing awareness of gender-based poverty, especially decision and policy makers. The intersectional relationship between gender equality and poverty means that public policy targeting gender-equity, in the form of Policies, Regulations or Local Area Budget, can be useful for reducing poverty faced by women in Indonesia.
